Responsibilities
- Monitor & Detect: Analyze network traffic and security alerts using SIEM tools to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation, containment, and remediation of security breaches and cyber incidents.
- Threat Intelligence: Leverage threat intelligence feeds to proactively identify emerging risks and adjust security controls accordingly.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards (e.g., NIST, HIPAA, SOC2) through regular audits and compliance reporting.
- Access Control: Manage user access rights and perform regular reviews of permissions to enforce the principle of least privilege.
- Security Hardening: Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint protection systems to ensure robust network security.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related IT role.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Tools: Proficiency with scripting languages (Python/Bash) and vulnerability scanners (Nessus, OpenVAS).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
