Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct incident investigations, forensic analysis, and remediation of security breaches
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks, runbooks, and incident response procedures
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and harden systems
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive leadership and stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging threats and countermeasures through continuous research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security platforms
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, and Windows/Linux systems
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and malware analysis techniques
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to work under pressure during incidents
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to work on-call rotations
