Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement incident response plans for security breaches and cyber attacks
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and GDPR standards
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders and regulatory bodies
- Lead security awareness training programs for employees across the organization
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in threat detection tools (e.g., CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks)
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and encryption standards
- Experience with forensic investigation and malware analysis
