Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network infrastructure
- Develop incident response plans and lead breach mitigation activities
- Implement security controls for cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) and hybrid architectures
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS standards
- Generate executive security reports and present threat intelligence to leadership
- Research emerging cyber threats and recommend proactive defensive measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience in SOC operations or incident response
- Security certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency in IDS/IPS tools (Snort, Suricata), firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), and endpoint protection platforms
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, Windows/Linux systems administration
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to document security procedures
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to work on-call rotation
