Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and investigate potential threats using provided SIEM tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing with company-provided hardware
- Develop and implement incident response protocols for security breaches
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO standards
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive dashboards
- Research emerging cyber threats and recommend defensive strategies
- Manage security access controls and user authentication systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in security operations, threat intelligence, or incident response
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and endpoint security tools
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Experience with network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
- Valid Florida driver's license for occasional on-site equipment maintenance
