Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Monitoring: Analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, ArcSight) to identify and mitigate potential threats in real-time.
- Incident Response: Investigate security breaches, execute incident response playbooks, and coordinate with stakeholders to contain and remediate incidents.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing support, and ensure timely patching of system vulnerabilities.
- Network Security: Manage and configure firewall policies, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems to enforce strict security protocols.
- Compliance & Reporting: Maintain documentation regarding security policies, procedures, and incident reports; ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and internal standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or a related IT security role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field is required.
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Tools: Proficiency with SIEM platforms, firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), and endpoint protection solutions.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical teams.
