Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk/QRadar) to detect and mitigate potential threats
- Conduct incident response investigations, documenting findings and recommending remediation actions
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and defensive technologies through continuous learning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in a SOC or similar environment
- Industry certifications: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH (required)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and endpoint protection platforms
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat intelligence
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to thrive in high-pressure situations
- Active TS/SCI clearance preferred (or ability to obtain)
