Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Monitoring: Analyze security alerts from SIEM systems and IDS/IPS to identify potential threats in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead and coordinate investigations into security breaches, performing forensic analysis and remediation.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and patch security gaps.
- Network Security: Configure, maintain, and monitor firewalls, VPNs, and secure network architectures.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal security policies and external regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Reporting: Generate detailed security reports and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or threat intelligence.
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, GCIH, or similar certifications are highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or similar) and scripting languages (Python or Bash).
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and network protocols.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong verbal/written communication skills.
