Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Conduct forensic investigations on security incidents and breaches
- Develop and implement threat detection scripts and playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and harden systems
- Generate comprehensive incident reports and executive summaries
- Stay current with emerging threats and compliance frameworks (NIST, CIS)
- Participate in red team exercises and penetration testing initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools and network analysis (Wireshark, tcpdump)
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, and common attack vectors
- Experience with Windows/Linux system administration
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 security operations environment
- Excellent written communication and problem-solving skills
