Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents within the SIEM environment.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses in systems.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans and playbooks to ensure rapid recovery from security breaches.
- Perform regular security audits and compliance checks (e.g., HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices and patch management strategies.
- Investigate and triage suspicious network traffic using tools like Wireshark and Splunk.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity or information security analysis.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) for automation.
- Valid certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
