Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks, policies, and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and remediate vulnerabilities
- Lead incident response investigations, including forensic analysis and root cause determination
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend security improvements based on threat intelligence
- Participate in security awareness training for employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, or incident response
- Security certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security platforms
- Strong understanding of NIST frameworks, GDPR, and industry compliance standards
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to prioritize complex security events
- Valid US driver's license for occasional client site visits
