Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activities
- Investigate and document security incidents using forensic tools and methodologies
- Implement vulnerability assessments and penetration testing initiatives
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to enhance network security controls and compliance
- Conduct threat intelligence analysis and provide actionable security recommendations
- Generate comprehensive security reports for stakeholders and leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or threat detection roles
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and security tools
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
