Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Analyze security alerts and implement mitigation strategies for zero-day threats
- Develop and maintain security documentation including incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices across cloud and on-premise environments
- Stay current with emerging threats and regulatory requirements (GDPR, CCPA)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM tools
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+
- Proficiency in network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure during security incidents
