Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including security policies, incident reports, and disaster recovery plans.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure software development and deployment practices.
- Perform user access reviews and enforce Identity and Access Management (IAM) protocols.
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and vulnerabilities to recommend proactive measures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking concepts, and common attack vectors.
- Proficiency with security tools and technologies (Firewalls, Anti-malware, SIEM, EDR).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure during security incidents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
