Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Analyze security alerts and implement mitigation strategies for network and endpoint threats
- Collaborate with IT teams to enforce security policies and regulatory compliance (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Document security incidents, forensic analysis, and remediation procedures
- Stay current with emerging cyber threats and recommend proactive security measures
- Assist in developing security awareness training programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations, threat analysis, or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in security tools: SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners (Nessus)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and Windows/Linux systems
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel occasionally
