Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms and security tools to identify suspicious activities and potential breaches
- Investigate security incidents, document findings, and coordinate remediation efforts
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and incident response plans
- Analyze network traffic logs and endpoint data to detect anomalous behavior
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with threat intelligence and emerging cyber attack vectors
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate security risks to stakeholders
