Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for threat detection and incident triage
- Conduct forensic investigations and coordinate breach response protocols
- Develop and maintain security playbooks for incident handling
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support
- Generate executive-level security incident reports and metrics
- Collaborate with network and cloud teams on security hardening
- Stay current on emerging threats and threat actor tactics
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in SOC operations or threat detection roles
- Industry certifications: CISSP, Security+, or GIAC preferred
- Expertise in SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and EDR solutions
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, and cloud security
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 environment
