We're seeking a proactive Cybersecurity Analyst to protect our clients' critical systems from evolving threats in the energy and healthcare sectors. Work with cutting-edge SIEM platforms, conduct threat hunting operations, and collaborate with incident response teams to neutralize cyber attacks before they impact business operations.
This hybrid role offers the flexibility of remote work with 2 days/week in our state-of-the-art Houston Security Operations Center (SOC). You'll receive industry-leading training and certifications, including reimbursement for CISSP or CompTIA Security+.
Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and investigate security incidents
- Conduct proactive threat hunting using MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop and maintain security playbooks for incident response
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security awareness training
- Generate executive-level security dashboards and compliance reports
- Research emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 3+ years experience in SOC operations or threat detection
- Certification (CISSP, Security+, CEH) or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in SIEM tools and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Experience with vulnerability scanners (Nessus, Qualys)
- Knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work rotating shifts in 24/7 environment
