Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk/Symantec)
- Investigate security incidents, determine root causes, and implement mitigation strategies
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including playbooks and incident reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and provide threat intelligence to stakeholders
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical incident response
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or incident response roles
- Strong understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors
- Certification in CISSP, CEH, or Security+ (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency with security tools: IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection platforms
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (e.g., Recorded Future, AlienVault)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize multiple incidents simultaneously
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
