Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms
- Investigate security breaches and forensic incidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions
- Develop and execute security awareness training programs for employees
- Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security best practices are integrated into all projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CompTIA Security+)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud security principles
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and vulnerability scanning tools
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex security concepts
