Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM platforms (Splunk/Symantec)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Analyze threat intelligence feeds to identify emerging attack vectors
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and incident reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Lead forensic investigations of security breaches and data compromise events
- Stay current with compliance requirements (NIST, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or incident response roles
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required (CEH/GCIH preferred)
- Expertise in network security tools (Firewall, IDS/IPS, WAF) and protocols
- Strong understanding of cloud security (AWS/Azure) and container technologies
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Experience with threat hunting methodologies and MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
