Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats
- Conduct incident investigations, including root cause analysis and mitigation strategies
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including playbooks and policies
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and other frameworks
- Provide security awareness training to employees and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, network security protocols, and cloud security principles
- Strong understanding of threat intelligence methodologies and MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Experience with incident response procedures and forensic analysis tools
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to prioritize security incidents
- Strong communication skills for documenting reports and presenting findings
