Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Investigate security incidents and coordinate remediation efforts with cross-functional teams
- Develop and maintain security documentation including incident response plans and playbooks
- Implement security controls to protect cloud environments and on-premise systems
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, PCI-DSS, and HIPAA standards
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend security improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and endpoint security platforms
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and security architectures
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and vulnerability scanning tools
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex security concepts
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
