Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM systems and analyze security alerts to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network infrastructure
- Develop and implement incident response plans for security breaches and cyber attacks
- Collaborate with IT teams to enforce security policies and regulatory compliance (NIST, HIPAA)
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive dashboards
- Research emerging threats and provide actionable intelligence to the security leadership
- Lead security awareness training for employees across the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations, threat detection, or incident response
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, or CEH required (GIAC preferred)
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR platforms (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Ability to work under pressure during security incidents and maintain clear documentation
