Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for anomalous activity and potential threats
- Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and develop mitigation strategies
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Document security incidents, create detailed reports, and present findings to leadership
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
- Participate in security awareness training and incident response drills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, or incident response
- Professional certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and security protocols (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls)
- Strong knowledge of network security principles, encryption, and threat intelligence
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys) and penetration testing
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to prioritize critical incidents
- Valid U.S. work authorization and ability to pass a background check
