Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for real-time threat detection
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents, including malware analysis and forensic investigation
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response plans and playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and other regulatory frameworks
- Provide security awareness training to employees and conduct security audits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations, SIEM monitoring, or incident response
- Industry certifications (CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency in security tools: Splunk, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors
- Experience with threat intelligence feeds and threat hunting methodologies
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to perform under pressure during security incidents
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to work on-call shifts
