Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify and respond to potential threats
- Conduct incident investigations, forensic analysis, and coordinate breach response protocols
- Develop and implement security controls, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing strategies
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and industry-specific regulations
- Create comprehensive security documentation, including incident reports, risk assessments, and playbooks
- Stay current on emerging threats, attack vectors, and defensive technologies through continuous research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or incident response
- Industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CEH, or GIAC)
- Proficiency in threat detection tools, network protocols, and cloud security architectures
- Strong analytical skills with ability to correlate complex security data
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Proven ability to work under pressure during security incidents
