Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) for security anomalies and threat intelligence
- Conduct forensic investigations on security incidents using KAPE, FTK, or EnCase
- Develop and maintain detection rules for EDR/XDR platforms
- Collaborate with incident response teams during active breaches
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Generate executive-level security dashboards and incident reports
- Stay current on MITRE ATT&CK framework and zero-day threats
Qualifications
- 3+ years SOC experience with hands-on incident response
- CISSP, CISM, or Security+ certification required
- Expertise in SIEM correlation rules and threat hunting
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network protocols
- Ability to work rotating shifts in 24/7 SOC environment
- Strong analytical and communication skills
