Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to identify and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop incident response plans and lead security breach investigations
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and CIS frameworks
- Research emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or analyst roles
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms, network security tools, and cloud environments
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Windows/Linux systems, and threat intelligence
- Experience with incident response procedures and forensic tools
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to prioritize security incidents
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain
