Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and investigate potential threats
- Conduct forensic analysis on security incidents and compile detailed incident reports
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network assets
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate security gaps and harden systems
- Develop security awareness training for employees and conduct phishing simulations
- Stay current on emerging threats and contribute to threat intelligence initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat detection
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, packet analysis (Wireshark), and vulnerability scanners
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and incident response frameworks
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during incidents
