Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and develop remediation strategies
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Develop and execute incident response playbooks for various threat scenarios
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive dashboards
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices across cloud and hybrid environments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in threat detection and incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and network security protocols
- Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat intelligence methodologies
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure) and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to prioritize critical security events
- Valid U.S. government security clearance (or ability to obtain)
