Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems 24/7 to detect anomalous activity
- Investigate security alerts using forensic tools and techniques
- Document incident response procedures and compile detailed forensic reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and patches
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Develop and maintain security dashboards for executive reporting
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC/NOC environments
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking and common attack vectors
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001)
- Ability to work rotating shifts and on-call schedules
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
