Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for threats and vulnerabilities
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing using provided specialized tools
- Analyze network traffic and system logs to detect and respond to security incidents
- Develop and implement security protocols and best practices across infrastructure
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and industry standards
- Document security incidents, investigations, and remediation efforts
- Stay updated on emerging threats and security technologies using provided resources
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity analysis or information security
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification (preferred)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network analysis
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys)
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions under pressure
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
