Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate security incidents, determine root cause, and coordinate remediation
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Develop and maintain security documentation, playbooks, and runbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and attack vectors through continuous research
- Participate in incident response drills and tabletop exercises
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, firewalls, and endpoint security solutions
- Strong understanding of network protocols and system architectures
- Experience with threat intelligence frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 security operations environment
