Responsibilities
- Monitor security events using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and investigate anomalies
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network assets
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Respond to security incidents with rapid containment and remediation
- Analyze malware and threat intelligence to enhance defensive posture
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or similar environment
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms, IDS/IPS, and network security tools
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, and encryption protocols
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
