Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM platforms (Splunk/Symantec)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network infrastructure
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Generate comprehensive security incident reports and executive dashboards
- Collaborate with IT teams on secure architecture design and compliance frameworks
- Lead phishing simulation campaigns and security awareness training initiatives
- Stay current with threat intelligence and emerging attack vectors
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience in SOC operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in network security tools (Wireshark, Nmap, Burp Suite)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerization
- Strong analytical skills with ability to prioritize critical incidents
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain
