Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to threats
- Conduct incident investigations, forensic analysis, and remediation of security breaches
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks, policies, and audit reports
- Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and compliance validation (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Collaborate with network and application teams to implement security controls
- Stay current on threat intelligence and emerging attack vectors
- Present security metrics to leadership and recommend strategic improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years experience in security operations center (SOC) or incident response
- Strong expertise in threat detection, SIEM tools, and forensic methodologies
- Security certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or equivalent)
- Proficiency with network security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR)
- Experience with compliance frameworks (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to document complex technical findings
