Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for anomalous activity
- Investigate and respond to security incidents using MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and incident reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Analyze threat intelligence feeds and provide actionable intelligence to stakeholders
- Lead incident response exercises quarterly to team readiness
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in security operations center (SOC) environment
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (preferred)
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Strong understanding of network protocols and system architectures
- Experience with threat hunting methodologies and forensic tools
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance (required)
- Excellent written communication skills for reporting and documentation
