Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and neutralize threats
- Conduct incident response investigations, including root cause analysis and containment procedures
- Develop and execute vulnerability assessments using Nessus, Qualys, and Burp Suite
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure NIST compliance
- Generate comprehensive threat intelligence reports for executive stakeholders
- Automate security workflows using Python and PowerShell scripts
- Manage security awareness training programs for 500+ employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on security operations center (SOC) experience
- Active CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or GIAC certification
- Expertise in threat detection, incident response, and threat hunting methodologies
- Proficiency in network security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR)
- Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure) and compliance frameworks
- Ability to prioritize threats during high-pressure situations
