Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and prioritize threats
- Lead incident response activities including containment, eradication, and recovery procedures
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks, policies, and runbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Perform threat intelligence analysis using MITRE ATT&CK framework and emerging threat data
- Provide executive-level security reporting with actionable insights and risk mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience in SOC operations or incident response
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
- Expertise in network security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Strong understanding of cloud security (AWS/Azure) and hybrid architectures
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Ability to maintain composure during high-pressure security incidents
