Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate security incidents, determine root causes, and coordinate remediation
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls, and endpoint security solutions
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST, MITRE ATT&CK)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Active DoD 8570 compliant certification preferred
