Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats
- Conduct digital forensic investigations and incident response coordination for security breaches
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks, policies, and risk assessments
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement vulnerability management and patching strategies
- Perform penetration testing and security audits to identify system weaknesses
- Stay current on emerging threats and contribute to threat intelligence reports
- Provide security awareness training to employees across the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in security operations center (SOC) environments
- Industry certifications: CISSP, Security+, or GIAC preferred
- Proficiency with security tools: SIEM platforms, IDS/IPS, EDR solutions
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud architectures (AWS/Azure), and compliance frameworks (NIST, HIPAA)
- Experience with threat hunting methodologies and malware analysis
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
