Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using Splunk and QRadar SIEM platforms
- Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and document forensic evidence
- Conduct proactive threat hunting using MITRE ATT&CK framework methodologies
- Develop and maintain security playbooks for incident response procedures
- Collaborate with network engineering teams to implement security controls
- Generate executive-level security reports and vulnerability assessments
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical incident response
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and cloud architectures (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Excellent written communication skills for incident documentation
