Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct threat hunting and incident response for APTs and malware
- Develop/implement security controls for cloud (AWS/Azure) and on-premise environments
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Collaborate with IT teams on security architecture improvements
- Generate executive security reports and compliance documentation
- Lead security awareness training for internal stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in SOC operations or threat detection roles
- Industry certifications: CISSP, Security+, or CEH preferred
- Expertise in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and attack vectors
- Proficiency with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Experience with NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritize critical incidents
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain
