Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and investigate suspicious network activity
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on client infrastructure
- Develop incident response plans and lead breach containment procedures
- Analyze malware and advanced persistent threats using forensic tools
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with threat intelligence and emerging attack vectors
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS solutions
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and endpoint protection
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex threats clearly
