Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, implementing containment measures
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Assist with compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong understanding of threat detection and incident response methodologies
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
