Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events within the SIEM platform (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses.
- Investigate security breaches and incidents, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including security policies, incident reports, and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry trends to recommend proactive security improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a cybersecurity or information security role.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, OSI model) and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Experience with SIEM tools, endpoint detection systems, and forensic analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
