Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms for threat detection and incident response coordination
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network/cloud environments
- Develop/implement security policies aligned with NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR frameworks
- Lead forensic investigations during security breaches and document findings
- Collaborate with IT teams to harden systems against advanced persistent threats
- Generate executive security dashboards and compliance reports
- Research emerging threats and recommend proactive mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in SOC operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud architectures (AWS/Azure), and OSINT
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Ability to thrive under pressure during high-stakes security incidents
