Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms for security incidents and anomalous activity
- Conduct forensic investigations and threat hunting operations
- Develop and maintain security automation scripts using Python/PowerShell
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls
- Generate executive-level security incident reports
- Stay current on emerging threats and vulnerabilities
- Participate in penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with SOC operations
- Certified in Security+ or CISSP (CEH preferred)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and cloud security
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Bachelor's degree in IT/Cybersecurity or equivalent experience
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain
