Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices
- Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and create mitigation reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS frameworks
- Provide security awareness training to staff and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis role
- Certifications: Security+, CISSP, or GIAC preferred
- Expertise in network protocols, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) and automation tools
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and incident response
